WAILEA – For the eighth consecutive year, real estate broker Josh Jerman of The Wailea Group LLC is offering the Josh Jerman Maui Nui Scholarship to encourage college-bound students to use their education to benefit Maui County.

To date, Jerman has awarded $23,000 in scholarships to 23 Maui, Molokai and Lanai high school seniors who displayed a passion for returning to Maui County after college and contributing to the local economy.

This year, the scholarship program will award three high school seniors $1,000 each based on their plans to contribute to Maui County’s workforce after graduation.

To apply, students must be a resident of Maui County, be enrolled in a full-time program at an accredited four-year college or university (for the 2012-13 academic year) and demonstrate financial need.

The application deadline is Monday, Feb. 20, 2012.

Recipients of the award will be notified on or before March 30, 2012.

Students can download application materials at www.JoshJerman.com and JoshJermanFoundation.org or inquire with their school counselor.
