Budding scientists to compete at Science Olympiad
KAHULUI – Middle and high school students will compete in the Maui Regional Science Olympiad Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the University of Hawaii Maui College.
Students will participate in events covering a wide spectrum of fields related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Topics include astronomy, biology, chemistry, engineering, genetics, medicine and rocketry.

The top middle and high schools at each regional tournament will qualify to compete in the eighth annual Statewide Tournament on March 3 at Leeward Community College.
