Center to provide grants for Project Graduation

WAILUKU – The county Volunteer Center announced that $30,000 in Maui County funding has been made available for 2012 Project Graduation Programs in an effort to promote alcohol- and drug-free high school graduation celebrations.

Project Graduation is part of the Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (CMCA). CMCA is a nationwide effort to reduce youth access to alcohol by changing community policies and norms.

Project Graduation grant applications are available through www.handsonmaui.com (go to “programs” and click on “Project Graduation”).

Deadline for the receipt of applications is Jan. 20, 2012, and notifications of awards will be made in early February 2012.
