UHMC to hold Christmas Plant and Ceramics sale
KAHULUI – ‘Tis the season for holiday decorating, and there’s no better place to pick up an extra poinsettia or two than the annual University of Hawaii Maui College Christmas Plant and Ceramics sale.
The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the college’s Agriculture Greenhouse and Ceramics Studio.
UHMC Introduction to Horticulture students will offer 11 different poinsettia varieties. A variety of popular native plants will also be on sale, including succulent bowls, fruit trees and landscape shrubs.
Bonsai pots, sushi sets and other artistic creations made by the college’s Ceramics program will make perfect handmade holiday gifts. And for those looking for stocking stuffers, the Dental Hygiene program will be on-hand selling Whitening Strips, Oral B electric toothbrushes and other dental items.
Sale proceeds go directly to support the college’s Ceramics, Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Dental programs. Call Ann at 984-3243 or William at 984-3285.
