LAHAINA – Lahaina Arts Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is proud to announce its 34th annual Art Exhibit and Partial Scholarship Contest.

Graduating high school seniors from Maui County are welcome to submit their art for exhibition and consideration in the scholarship competition.

Entries may be dropped off the week of Nov. 27 to Dec. 4 in the Old Jail Gallery in the Old Lahaina Courthouse. Visit the “Children’s Programs” section of www.lahaina-arts.org for rules and conditions regarding the exhibition and scholarship contest, or phone 661-0111 for information.

Awards include Best in Show ($1,000) and $500 scholarships each for painting, drawing, three-dimension, photography, mixed media and the Gianna M. Mitchell Spirit of Aloha Art Scholarship Award. Honorable Mentions (gift certificates and art supplies) will also be awarded.

Artwork will be exhibited at the Old Jail Gallery from Dec. 5-31. A special artists’ reception will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. in the Old Jail Gallery to award scholarships and honor contest participants.

Families and community members are welcome to view the exhibit and join LAA in celebrating Maui County’s young artists.
