KAHULUI – To celebrate our generous spirit of volunteerism, the county Volunteer Center will present the Volunteer Expo 2011 on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Shopping Center stage.

Jimmy Mac and the Kool Kats, the Seabury Hall Hawaiian Ensemble and magician Timothy Wenk will provide lively entertainment for the noontime crowd, while Joe Hawkins, host of KONI radio’s “Maui Sunrise Show,” will emcee and give away door prizes.

Throughout the two-hour event, people are encouraged to browse the exhibits, play educational games and chat with 25 nonprofit agencies about the range of unique social, cultural and environmental volunteer projects available in Maui County.
