Learn to make jewelry
LAHAINA – The University of Hawaii Maui College Lahaina Education Center will offer a jewelry making class just in time for the holidays.
This “hands-on” class on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 1 to 5 p.m. is perfect for gift giving – or for treating yourself.
Learn wire wrapping techniques to design and create a matching earrings/bracelet set. This class will cover the proper use of tools and materials.
In addition creating a beautiful jewelry set to take home, students will also acquire the know-how to create more great gifts on their own.
Donna Brown, longtime West Mauian, is well-known as a UHMC lecturer for the Marine Options Program. She’s also created jewelry for over 30 years and loves making personalized gifts.
The cost of the class is $54 plus a $20 materials fee. Call 984-3231 to register. The center is located at 60 Kenui St. in the Front Street Apartments.
