LAHAINA – Maui County photographers have the chance to win photo gear, software, hardware and cash while helping keiki in Lahaina Arts Society’s fifth annual Photo Maui Contest

Pull out your camera, get shooting, print out your best shots and enter the competition. Receiving days are Oct. 29 through Nov. 4. Photographers may drop off ready to hang images at the following locations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Lahaina Arts Society’s Old Jail Gallery at 648 Wharf St.; Pictures Plus at 270 Dairy Road, Suite 154, in Kahului; and Maui Island Giclee at 310 Ohukai Road, Suite 309, in Kihei.

Last year, Photo Maui brought in more than $1,000 in donations for Lahaina Arts Association’s Children’s Art Outreach Program. This 501(c)(3) charity provides free art classes for underprivileged kids throughout Maui County.

This year’s jurors are David Fleetham, Ron Dahlquist and Douglas Hoffman.

Photo Maui’s opening reception and awards ceremony will be held Friday, Nov. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit will be open Nov. 11 through Dec. 4.
