Food booths available for Lahaina Plantation Days

LAHAINA — Applications are now being accepted for food booths at the Lahaina Plantation Days event to be held on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22, from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Pioneer Mill Smokestack in Lahaina.

Both restaurant and nonprofit booths are available. Last year’s attendance was close to 5,000 for the two-day event. All sales are with scrip, and food booths receive 50 percent of their food sales. Local favorites and restaurant menu items are sought.

Lahaina Plantation Days will feature 20 food booths, MauiGrown Coffee garden, beer and wine garden, Japanese cultural area, farmers’ market and a keiki fun zone with carnival games and horse rides.

A sugar tent will feature historical photos of Pioneer Mill, and memorabilia from the plantation era and a registry of plantation camps and maps will be showcased.

There is an exciting entertainment lineup with headliners Na Wai on Friday and Makaha Sons on Saturday. Da Braddahs will be the emcees on both nights.

Lahaina Plantation Days is a fun-filled family event that honors the lives of Maui’s plantation workers and their contributions to our community. The event is produced by Lahaina Restoration Foundation and supported by Hawaii Tourism Authority, county Office of Economic Development and Kaanapali Land Management.
