LAHAINA — Lahaina Hongwanji Mission will hold the last Bon Dance celebration for West Maui this summer season on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 12-13.

The two-day community event will feature church services starting at 6 p.m. and dancing beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Food concessions will sell traditional Japanese food items such as sushi, nishime and andagi donuts, as well as popular local favorites like chow fun, katsu and teriyaki. Craft items will be on sale, as well as specialty handmade quilts.

Maui Taiko will accompany the dancers with the beating of their drums.
