Uncle Wayne to perform at libraries

Watkins
Wayne Watkins will be a featured performer for the 2011 HSPLS Children’s Summer Reading Program at public libraries on Maui. Admission is free.
Watkins will perform his popular “Sing Along with Uncle Wayne” program and inspire children to get up and move with him as he strums his acoustic guitar and sings a variety of classic children’s songs and his original compositions.
The 45-minute program is recommended for attendees ages three and older — especially for families with young children. All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Watkins, who currently serves as director of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Children’s Center, is an early childhood educator and children’s advocate.
Experience “Sing Along with Uncle Wayne” on June 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Lahaina Public Library, June 29 at 1 p.m. at Wailuku Public Library, June 30 at 10 a.m. at Makawao Public Library, June 30 at 2 p.m. at Kahului Public Library and July 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Kihei Public Library.
