West Maui wine group forming

By Staff | Jun 9, 2011

KAHANA — A wine tasting group is forming in Kahana to get up to speed on wines styles of the world.

Limited to eight people, the group would focus on six to eight wines at a time. Members would share the costs of the wines and food (around $20 to $35 per person).

Founder Tim Bruns noted, “The purpose of this group would be to get people together that want to get familiar with or refamiliarize themselves with wine varieties from around the world, the social aspect of it, the learning aspect, as well as the business or other networking aspects.

“I have a background in studying and teaching wines of the world and was in the retail and wholesale wine industry for about 20 years… but need to get my palate back up to speed and would like to see if I can find some new friends that would like to do the same!”
