Maui teen to host benefit for Shriners
KIHEI — Thirteen-year-old Ocean Langlois has organized a benefit concert at Stella Blues Cafe in Kihei on Saturday, June 11, as a way to thank Shriners Aloha Transport and Shriners Hospitals for Children-Honolulu for years of medical assistance.
Ocean has enlisted Maui-based Wicked Sisters Production LLC to help bring her dream of a “Tropical Twilight” benefit concert to reality. The event will feature music by Jimmy Mac and the Kool Kats and Gail Swanson, as well as live and silent auctions.
The event is set for 5 to 10:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $25 for the show and pupu package. Advance tickets for the show without pupus are $15. Day-of-event tickets will be $30 for the show and pupus, or $20 for the show only. Tickets are available at Stella Blues Café and Photographics Maui in Kahului.
