Princess Nahi‘ena‘ena School to hold Ho‘olaule‘a on campus
LAHAINA — Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary’s School Ho’olaule’a 2011 will be held on Friday, May 20.
The program will start at 8:30 a.m. at the school’s campus field.
There will be no May Day Court this year.
“A selected handful of teachers and administrators have voted and decided that this year’s celebration was not in need of a May Day Court,” noted Sara Kanemitsu, the school’s Parent Community Networking Center facilitator.
The event is moving back to campus from Lahaina Civic Center.
“Now the school’s administrators are bringing it back to our school’s campus play field to cut costs on bus service and keeping it simple and nontraditional for our school,” Kanemitsu wrote.
“With that in mind, the selected few teachers and administrators decided that this year’s celebration be should called Ho’olaule’a 2011.”
