KAHANA — Sports Club Kahana has partnered with Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) to bring its exceptional programming to the West Side.

Classes include children’s ballet, jazz and musical theatre, all available in Sports Club Kahana’s ocean view aerobics studio from March 23 to May 20, 2011.

On Wednesdays, Beginning Ballet for keiki ages 5-7 will be held from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., followed by Jazzy Hip Hop (ages 5-7) from 4:15 to 5 p.m.

On Thursdays, the schedule is Mommy & Me (ages 1.5 to 2.5) from 3 to 3:45 p.m., Pre-Ballet (age 3) from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. and Pre Ballet (age 4) from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.

On Fridays, Musical Theatre for children ages 5-7 is set for 3:15 to 4 p.m. and ages 8-10 from 4 to 4:45 p.m.

These nine-week sessions taught by Marybeth Frieday instill the foundations of dance and drama.

Students will gain self-confidence and learn how to work effectively as a member of an ensemble, all in a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment.

As a special mahalo for MAPA families, Sports Club Kahana will extend exclusive discounted rates on enrollment, allowing parents to work out and enjoy the entire facility while their children participate in classes.

In addition, $10 from every Sports Club Kahana $69 weekly membership pass will be donated to MAPA in support of its nonprofit work.
