Leilani’s honors exemplary citizens
LAHAINA — Leilani’s on the Beach recently named Beth Fobbe-Wills as “Educator of the Month” and Stuart Farberow as “Officer of the Month” for January.
Both were selected based on their hard work and dedication to the betterment of the local community.
“Mrs. Fobbe-Wills and Officer Farberow are setting great examples for our community members, especially the younger generations,” said Leilani’s General Manager Jason Donez.
“Leilani’s is happy to award both of them for their contributions to our local community.”
Prior to joining Lahaina Intermediate School as the choral director, Fobbe-Wills spent 26 years teaching music in Minnesota, where she also served on various local and state arts organizations.
As the choral director at LIS, Fobbe-Wills truly enjoys encouraging students to channel their joy for music to help them achieve their goals.
Farberow joined the Maui Police Department in 1994 and has enjoyed working with his fellow officers to keep the local community safe. Taking part in various career advancement courses within the department, Farberow has received several awards from MPD for his outstanding performance and dedication throughout his career.
Fobbe-Wills and Farberow each received a $100 gift certificate to Leilani’s on the Beach as part of their recognition.
