KIHEI — Do you care for a parent, spouse, friend or someone living with you? The “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” class is designed to help caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings better, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.

Classes consist of six sessions held once a week and are led by two experienced instructors. Interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming will help caregivers take “tools” and put them into action.

The next class begins on Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Kalama Heights in Kihei. Thanks to county grants, “Powerful Tools for Caregivers” will be offered at a reduced cost of $10.

For registration or additional information about this class, contact the University of Hawaii at Manoa Cooperative Extension at 244-3242, extension 226.
