Learn the Hawaiian approach to sustainability
LAHAINA — Kapuka Ulua ‘Ohana is an unincorporated association dedicated to uplifting the community with information and activities that promote Hawaiian
heritage and environmental sustainability in Maui County.
The group’s fourth fair will be held at Pakala (Kamehameha Iki Park) next to 505 Front Street on Saturday Oct. 23. There will be speakers and demonstrations all day highlighting Hawaiian heritage and environmental sustainability. Hui O Wa’a Kaulua and their voyaging canoes, Mo’okiha and Mo’olele, will be featured.
The group will give away popcorn and prizes donated by Kamehameha Schools’ Distant Learning Program and Maui Babe suntan lotion.
