Phillips to discuss co-ops

The West Maui Lions Club’s annual Slipper Drive was held in July in front of Longs Drug Store. A total of 180 slippers and 36 backpacks were collected from the community, West Maui Lions Club, Kahului Airport Lions Club, Maui Lions Club, Kihei Lions and Mark and Eloise Mizuno from Heleakala Lions Club. The slippers were dropped off on Friday, Sept. 17, at Princess Nahienaena Elementary School (pictured) and King Kamehameha III School. The Slipper Drive, a signature project of West Maui Lions Club in Lahaina, is held each year prior to the start of school. “On behalf of the West Maui Lions Club, we want to thank the community as well as surrounding Lions Clubs on Maui for their support,” said President Linda Elms.
