Ishihara to offer advice on attending U.H. Maui College

LAHAINA — The University of Hawaii Maui College Lahaina Education Center will host a visit from Academic Advisor Kulamanu Ishihara on Thursday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Community members interested in attending the Maui College — in Lahaina or Kahului — can make an appointment by calling 662-3911. Space is limited, so call as soon as possible.

Before the appointment, the individual should have an active U.H. system application and completed the Compass Placement tests for English and Math. An application may be picked up at the Lahaina Education Center at 60 Kenui St., or request one by e-mailing mcc96761@hawaii.edu.

The Fall 2010 Semester begins on Aug. 23. Classes will fill very quickly. 

The Lahaina Education Center offers live developmental math courses, as well as 15 classes offered via SkyBridge, a closed circuit, two-way TV system.

The Lahaina Education Center is located near the Front Street Apartments on Kenui Street.
