Bubba Gump fund-raiser to benefit Luna stadium project

By Staff | Jun 3, 2010

On Saturday, May 15, students from Sacred Hearts School held a benefit breakfast at Leilani’s by the Beach at Whalers Village. Student waiters served guests while students and parents bussed tables. Leilani’s was generous in their donation of food and time. The event was among many benefits held this year in an effort to raise funds to send next year’s seventh and eighth grade students to Washington, D.C.; Williamsburg, Virginia; New York City; and Boston, Massachusetts.

LAHAINA — Bubba Gump Shrimp Company will host a benefit for the Lahainaluna High School Foundation’s stadium project — “Re-do the Imu!” — on Tuesday, June 15.

Tickets are $25, which include a three-course meal — appetizer, choice of four entree items and dessert — and unlimited soft drinks, coffee or tea.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Company will donate 30 percent of the ticket price to the stadium project. The first phase of the stadium is nearing completion.

Good for both lunch and dinner, tickets need to be purchased in advance.

To request tickets, e-mail Jeff Rogers at lhsf08@yahoo.com, call 214-2839 or go to www.re-dotheimu.com.
