Memorial service for David Viglione set for April 17

David Viglione was a salesman at Jim Falk’s Valley Isle Motors for more than 20 years.

David Viglione passed away on Feb. 23, 2010 in Fort Myers, Florida. He was 52.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m. at D.T. Fleming Beach in Kapalua. For information, call Gene Viglione at 661-6497.

Mr. Viglione was born on Feb. 6, 1957 in Paterson, New Jersey.

A longtime Maui resident, he first moved to the island in 1972. He attended Lahainaluna and Baldwin High School.

Mr. Viglione was a longtime member of the Maui Rotary Club and served with Light Bringers Rescue Mission and many other charitable organizations.

With Light Bringers, Mr. Viglione collected toys for Christmas gifts to give to needy children in West Maui and worked on events to benefit the nonprofit organization.

Mr. Viglione is survived by his fiancé, Victoria Crosby; his mother, Vera Yonkers of Fort Myers, Florida; his father, Gene Viglione of Lahaina; and sisters Victoria Johnson of Honolulu, Valerie Viglione of Fort  Lauderdale, Florida, and Vanessa Viglione of Captiva, Florida.

A memorial service with scattering of ashes will be announced.
