Maui Prep to hold ‘Paniolo Night’

“The Plight of Gaza: An Eyewitness Account of How U.S. Policies are Causing Harm” is the topic of a talk on Friday, Jan. 22, at Maui Community College by Army Col. (Ret.) Ann Wright. The free, public event will be held at 7 p.m. in Maui Community College Ka Lama 103, sponsored by Maui Peace Action, the MCC Peace Club and Koa Books. Wright’s talk will report on how the United States’ “green-light” policy toward Israel jeopardizes both U.S. and Israeli national security. She will also speak about conditions of the 1.5 million Palestinian people living in the walled-off, 25- by 5-mile Gaza strip. For information on the event, call Mele Stokesberry at 878-8015.
