Holiday Aloha Shopping Event slated at Lahaina Gateway

Sixth and seventh grade Sacred Hearts School students will reenact the nativity scene with a “Live Drive-Thru Nativity” on Saturday, Dec. 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the 239 Dickenson St. school. The entrance will be on Dickenson Street. Donations will be greatly appreciated. This is a fund-raiser for the students’ Washington, D.C., field trip in 2010. After enjoying the Nativity, visitors are encouraged to visit Paradise Found Creperie on Papalaua Street. A portion of purchases will be donated to the students’ field trip fund.

Visit with local crafters, enjoy Christmas music and enter to win in holiday prize drawings. 

On Saturday, Dec. 19, starting at 10 a.m., visit the Special Hawaii Made Crafts & Gift Village with locally made products, including soaps, plants (approved and inspected to take out of the state), sun catchers, woodworks, flowers made by clay, coconut weave hats and baskets, Hawaiian salt essence and body bath, stone carvings, photos and prints, black coral jewelry, “Build a Bear,” artwork, jewelry with red coral and turquoise, freshwater pearls, gemstones and much more.

“Christmas Voices,” featuring the Lahaina Baptist Choir, is set for 6 to 7 p.m.

Enter to win Lahaina Gateway Gift Certificates in Holiday Prize Drawings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The drawing will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hula Girl fountain area. Entrants must be present to win.
