AARP to hold Driver Safety Class
LAHAINA — A two-part AARP Driver Safety Class will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec 1-2, from 4:45 to 7 p.m. at the West Maui Senior Center.
Anyone may attend this course with instructor Kelly Stanley, but it is designed for drivers age 50 and up.
The emphasis is to become more aware of common age-related physical changes, how they affect one’s driving ability and how to compensate.
The total cost for both evenings is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. This fee will be collected the first evening of class, and can be paid in cash or with a check made payable to AARP.
Some insurance carriers give discounts to those who complete the class. A certificate of completion will be provided. Preregistration is required. Call the West Maui Senior Center at 661-9432.
