AARP to hold driving class
LAHAINA — A two-part AARP Driver Safety Class will be held on two consecutive days, Sept. 1 and 2, from 9:45 a.m. to noon at the West Maui Senior Center, 788 Pauoa St.
Anyone may attend this course with instructor Kelly Stanley, even though it is designed for drivers age 50 and older.
The emphasis is to become more aware of common age-related physical changes; how they affect one’s driving ability and how to compensate.
The total cost for both mornings is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. This fee will be collected the first morning of class and can be paid in cash or with a check made payable to AARP.
Some insurance carriers give discounts to those who complete the class.
Preregistration is required; call the West Maui Senior Center at 661-9432.
