Maui Historical Society to present ‘Antique Show & Tell’

WAILUKU — Maui Historical Society and the Bailey House Museum are holding the first “Antique Show & Tell” to showcase Hawaii’s shared history.

The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Bailey House Museum.

Local families have been invited to present heirlooms, antiques, curios and artwork pertinent to Hawaii and the Pacific/Asian Basin. Together, attendees will enjoy a moment of living history as each item is professionally reviewed and evaluated. Who knows what stories will be told!

Professional evaluations will be conducted by A. Pak‘e Zane, Julie Lauster, Wayne Morioka, Marc Kobayashi and Bren Bailey. Prizes will be awarded for “Best in Show,” “Most Historically Significant” and “Most Hawaiian” items.  

There will be live entertainment, slideshows, a silent auction and pupus on the grounds of the Bailey House Museum.
