MAALAEA — Pacific Whale Foundation will offer free one-hour ocean discovery cruises to Hawaii residents on Saturday, June 6, in honor of World Ocean Day.

Greg Kaufman, president and founder of Pacific Whale Foundation, said, “Our Certified Marine Naturalists will be onboard to talk with passengers about our planet’s oceans and the critical importance of the ocean in sustaining life on Earth. We’ll also be discussing ways in which we can all take steps to protect the ocean environment.”

Departure times for the one-hour cruises are 12:30, 1, 2 and 2:30 p.m. from Maalaea, and 2 and 3:30 p.m. from Lahaina. Reservations are required; call 249-8811, extension 1.
