LOS ANGELES, Calif. — LâMO Sheepskin Inc. has donated thousands of shoes to Maui residents affected by the wildfires through the Red Cross. The company’s brands, LâMO Footwear and Oomphies, contributed over 6,000 pairs of shoes together, totaling out to a retail value of more than $215,000.

“The wildfires were devastating, and we wanted to show the people of Maui that the world is behind them,” said Brent Williams, sales rep at LâMO Sheepskin Inc. and Lahaina area resident.

“It’s changed their lives forever, and as a company, we knew we could do something. We pulled together as many shoes as we could and shared our love and support for the islanders.”

The Maui wildfires have left thousands of residents without homes and with uncertainty about the future. The owners and employees at LâMO Sheepskin Inc. knew that those affected would need shoes.

The company’s hope is that LâMO and Oomphies’ footwear options for families will help meet their needs.
