By Staff | Aug 23, 2023

LAHAINA — Maui Rotary Clubs, part of Hawaii Rotary District 5000, announced the availability of Free Starlink WiFi Hotspots to assist residents and visitors affected by the recent wildfires in Maui.

Understanding the urgent need for reliable internet access for affected families and emergency responders, Maui Rotary Clubs have spearheaded this initiative to offer Starlink WiFi Hotspots at strategic locations throughout West Maui.

The Free Starlink WiFi Hotspots will be set up at the following locations:

• Napili Surf Beach Resort

• S-Turns Beach Park

• Airport Beach Park

• Kuleana Resort

• D.T. Fleming Beach Park

• Fairways Shops.

Locations may change, and hours of availability may vary.

“We recognize that in times of crisis, staying connected is more critical than ever. These Starlink WiFi Hotspots will provide essential support for emergency communication and will help affected individuals reach out to their loved ones and access vital information,” said Mark Merriam, district governor of Hawaii Rotary District 5000.

Access to these WiFi Hotspots is entirely free and is intended to assist those impacted by the wildfires in managing emergency logistics, staying in touch with family and friends, and accessing crucial updates.

This initiative has been made possible through actions made my members of the Maui Rotary Clubs demonstrating Rotary’s commitment to immediate and effective community service.
