Celebrate the return of humpback whales

MAALAEA — Calling all whale lovers! Visit Maui Ocean Center all whale season long for an in-depth look into our beloved winter visitors’ exciting and mysterious undersea world.
Enjoy an up-close encounter with life-sized 3D whales in the state-of-the-art Sphere theater, as well as interactive exhibits, informational kiosks and endless educational opportunities.
This whale season at Maui Ocean Center will feature in-park learning opportunities presented by knowledgeable National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) volunteers.
Come prepared with questions! NOAA volunteers will be in the Humpbacks of Hawai’i exhibit every Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Maui Ocean Center’s whale celebrations include a one-of-a-kind experience with life-sized humpbacks in the 3D Sphere theater. Showings are held every half hour from 10 a.m. until the final showing at 4 p.m.
Check out the interactive and informative Humpbacks of Hawai’i exhibit and “Did You Know” fun facts about humpbacks throughout the park.
New at Maui Ocean Center: peer through binoculars at the 100 percent sustainable Seascape Restaurant and watch humpbacks frolic in Maalaea Bay.

Complimentary parking is available at Maui Ocean Center for kama’aina and Na Hoa Kai members. Parking is $1 per hour for visitors.
Follow parking signage for directions to the appropriate lot and follow PARKLINQ’s posted signs for instructions and payment.
