KAPALUA — Hua Momona Farms, located atop the Kapalua Resort, continues its philanthropic endeavors with the newly created “Share the Love” Matching Donation program.
For the entire month of February, the farm encourages buyers to “Share the Love” by purchasing a farm produce box for themselves and a neighbor in need.
For every donation box purchased, Hua Momona Farms will match with an additional donated box. This promotion will run through Feb. 28. The cost for a farm box is $40 and contains a variety of vegetables grown at the farm in Kapalua.
Since its inception, the farm has committed to supporting the community through donations and event participation. The farm has supplied over 2,000 farm boxes for food drives held at Kapalua this fall.
The farm has also been delivering free farm boxes to Maui Rapid Response and Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center each week.
Maui Rapid Response supports frontline services and supplies for Maui’s unsheltered (homeless) families and individuals. MRR includes Maui Rescue Mission, Chili on Wheels Maui, and Ka ‘Ohana Carter. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/Maui-Rapid-Response-104024131247264/.
