Taverna supporting kupuna and first responders with weekly meal delivery for the West Side community

KAPALUA – Taverna, along with the generosity of the Saunders Family and Kapalua Golf, are teaming up together to deliver weekly meals to kupuna residing at Hale Mahaolu Eono Lahaina, Maui Police Department, Kaiser Permanente Lahaina Clinic, employees at Kapalua Golf and Young Life Organization of West Maui.

Each week, Executive Chef/Partner Roger Stettler, Managing Partner Chris Kaiwi and staff prepare freshly made meals for delivery. As of last week Thursday, over 250 meals have been delivered.

“Our kupuna and first responders are precious. Caring for them during these difficult times is our way to show our community involvement and efforts that we are proud and happy to provide,” stated Kaiwi.

Established in March 2016, Taverna specializes in fresh house-made pastas, breads, hand tossed pizzas and other favorite Italian dishes of Chef Roger’s family recipes.

Current hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily for lunch and 5:30 p.m. to closing nightly for dinner. Lunch, dinner and family meals are available for to go, curbside pickup or free West Side delivery.
