Maui Mobility Systems opens retail store in Lahaina Town
LAHAINA – Maui Mobility Systems on June 1 opened a new retail location in Lahaina. Located at 136 Dickenson St., one block off Front Street, the store rents and sells scooters, wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility equipment to visitors and locals.
Owner Debi Wynn said a Concierge Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. with door prizes and activities to introduce Maui Mobility Systems.
The bright and airy store offers a comfortable and relaxing environment in which to test the latest mobility products.
Maui Mobility’s mission – to help people be mobile, so they can enjoy life more – is realized through the many new products now offered.
These items increase mobility in all areas of life, including ease of entry into a car, safety in a bathroom and better mobility in and out of bed.
Battery-powered mobility scooters disassemble for easy loading into vehicles. Delivery is offered to resorts, condos and private homes.
“The thing that visitors tell us all the time is: ‘You saved our vacation. We couldn’t have seen everything we wanted to; we couldn’t have gotten around.’ We get lots of e-mails and lots of responses that way of how much it really helps,” said Wynn.
Before launching the business in 2015, Wynn learned about the importance of mobility products while she and her late husband, Marty, cared for their parents.
Maui Mobility is pleased to be a paper-less and cash-less retailer. All credit and debit cards are welcome.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week (including holidays). For more information, call (808) 661-9000 or visit www.mauimobility.com.
The new retail store joins Maui Mobility Systems’ rental operations in Wailea and Kona.
