KAHULUI – It’s never too late to take charge of your financial future! That’s the message that retirement strategist Lis Arcienega will share on Thursday, June 27, at 6 p.m. as part of the Akaku Upstairs Summer Salon Series. The presentation will take place at Akaku Maui Community Media at 333 Dairy Road, Suite 204, in Kahului.

Using Powerpoint slides to illustrate her talk, Arcienega will discuss the process of assessing financial goals and setting the things in motion that can help bring them to fruition.

She will also talk about a new retirement paradigm in which folks take a break from work, gain some new technological skills, and then rejoin the workforce in a different capacity, possibly repeating the pattern several times.

Arcienega is an insurance advisor and financial strategist who strives to help families, individuals and business owners become more financially literate and secure.

She regularly facilitates educational talks about finances for all stages of life on topics like budgeting and retirement planning. She holds a Master’s Degree from Hunter College in New York.

Salons are held Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Akaku Media Lab. The presentations are taped for cablecast on Akaku Blue Channel 55 and made available for viewing “on demand” through akaku.org/salons.
