Oceanfront Kapalua Burger Shack open for dinner through mid-January

The Burger Shack features an enhanced dinner menu and nightly entertainment for a limited time.

KAPALUA – The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua announced that its oceanfront eatery offering picturesque eats with views to match, Burger Shack, is opening for dinner through Jan. 15 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. with nightly entertainment.

In addition to its iconic shakes and sandwiches, the dinner menu will feature entrees including Seared Mahi Mahi and Kalbi Ribs. The serene oceanfront setting will be enhanced with inviting fire pits and lighting perfect for an evening spent under the stars.

Spend $50 or more for dinner and you’ll receive a complimentary S’mores kit as a sweet treat.

Lunch is still available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and local residents with a valid Hawaii ID will enjoy a 25 percent savings that now extends through the dinner hours.

Evening appetizer favorites, including spicy Hawaiian poke, calamari and pickled Hawaiian mushrooms with fried Brussels sprouts, are sure to delight in addition to the burger specials. Signature sandwiches include the Paniolo Buffalo Blue made with grilled bison and topped with cambozola, applewood smoked bacon and house-made BBQ sauce, and the Katzu Katzu with a ramen-crusted chicken breast and avocado.

Vegetarians will enjoy the signature Bikini Burger with black bean and beet root patty, smoked tofu and a jicama sweet chili slaw.

All burgers are served with sweet potato fries, house-made ketchup and Chef April’s famous hot sauce made with ingredients from the hotel’s onsite organic garden.

Refreshing shake favorites include the Hula Girl with pineapple, coconut and chocolate along with the Kula Crunch crafted with fresh strawberries and macadamia nut cookies. Also on the menu is an adult root beer made with Zaya 12-year Reserve Rum, bound in root beer and served on the rocks with vanilla bean ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

These delicious bites can be enjoyed at the restaurant under a natural canopy of more than 40 fully grown coconut palms, or can be packaged in a friendly to-go kit.

The Burger Shack is also proud to be recognized as an Ocean Friendly Certified Restaurant. Created by the Surfrider Foundation, the Ocean Friendly Restaurants program was created to recognize those making a conscious effort to keep our oceans clean by reducing plastic waste and eliminating the use of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam.
