Pizza Paradiso celebrates 20 years of business with fundraiser

By Staff | Nov 8, 2018

LAHAINA – Pizza Paradiso – West Maui’s home for healthy, fast and affordable Mediterranean comfort food – is celebrating 20 years of business on Maui.

Located just north of Lahaina and Kaanapali, the casual, locally owned restaurant serves up an award-winning menu of Italian, Greek and Middle Eastern favorites.

“In celebration of Pizza Paradiso’s 20-year anniversary, I want to give back to Maui,” shared executive chef and owner Paris Nabavi.

Through Nov. 20, patrons will receive a 10 percent discount off their orders. The order must be a minimum of $15 per person and cannot be combined with other discounts and online orders.

Chef Nabavi will match 10 percent of the sales and donate it to Habitat for Humanity Maui’s Hurricane Lane recovery efforts and the fire victims who lost their homes in Lahaina.

Pizza Paradiso’s pizza has been recognized over the years. “We’re grateful to have been named ‘Best Pizza’ on Maui three times by readers of The Maui News,” Chef Nabvai said.

Other honors include Aipono Awards in 2017 and 2018 (“Best Mediterranean” Gold and 2017 Silver for “Best Pizza.”).

In addition to this 20th anniversary campaign, Chef Paris and his family created a nonprofit to give all year round. The Nabavi Legacy Fund’s mission is to support programs that nourish the minds and bodies of Maui’s children.

As Maui restaurateurs, foodies and parents, Paris and his wife, Donna, have a particular interest in educating kids to eat healthy, make sustainable food choices and develop a lifelong love of learning – all while having fun.

To achieve this, they have pledged ongoing support to local non-profits whose work aligns with the fund’s mission.

The Nabavi Legacy Fund’s partnered restaurants are: The Mill House, Waikapu; Fork & Salad, Kihei; Pizza Paradiso, Honokowai; Taverna, Kapalua; Kohola Brewery, Lahaina; and Sea House Restaurant, Napili.

The current list of beneficiaries includes Grow Some Good, Imua Family Services, Book Trust, Maui Academy of Performing Arts, Maui Food Innovation Center and American Heart Association (Kids Cook with Heart).
