As a lead officer, Brandon Kaina Jr. likes helping out to improve the Security Department.

KAANAPALI – Each quarter, employees of the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach AOAO nominate fellow team members to be recognized for their hard work and dedication and vote for a winner deserving of special recognition.

Brandon Kaina Jr., a lead officer in the Security Department, was recognized by peers for a job well done. He has been employed at the Whaler for less than a year and has already made a positive impact on team members.

He was born and raised on the West Side and graduated from Lahainaluna High School.

His colleagues recognized him as: “Young, smart and possesses the quality, character, attitude of a leader.”

“Brandon’s positive attitude and excellent work ethic stands out tremendously amongst fellow co-workers, guests and owners,” another noted.

Kaina is now one of four candidates eligible for the 2018 Employee of the Year Recognition Award.
