Sheraton Maui welcomes new director of catering and event management
KAANAPALI – Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa recently appointed John Motola as the resort’s new director of catering and event management.
Motola will oversee the resort’s catering and event services, leading the meetings and events team in creating memorable guest experiences through successful execution and planning of catering functions.
He will also be responsible for driving revenue, new business development and achieving guest and employee satisfaction.
“Motola is a leader in delivering operational excellence and building relationships with team members, guests and clients. Motola was previously director of catering and convention services at Millennium Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minn. Prior to that, he served as director of catering at Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago, Ill.
Motola is also a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Certified Professional Catering Executive (CPCE) and Certified Wedding Planner.
