Gorman to speak about medical cannabis

Teri Freitas Gorman will discuss Hawaii’s medical cannabis program and provide an update on recent legislative changes at the July 31 Rotary meeting.

KAANAPALI – Teri Freitas Gorman, director of community relations and patient affairs for Maui Grown Therapies, will be the speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset on Tuesday, July 31.

The meeting will be held at the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Gorman’s presentation, “Introduction to Hawaii’s medical cannabis program” will feature information about the program operations. She will also provide an update on recent legislative changes.

Gorman is a seasoned communications and community engagement professional with more than two decades of executive level experience.

She served as vice president, corporate communications for Maui Land and Pineapple Co. Inc. until 2009 and later owned and operated a boutique communications and community relations company. Gorman also serves as president of the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce.
