Maui Design Jewelry to celebrate its Grand Opening on Friday
KAANAPALI – Maui Design Jewelry has a new location at Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club, with the Grand Opening set for Friday, July 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Unit 109.
Owner Siu Whitehead also has The Retail Lane at the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, which has been open for over a year.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., The Retail Lane features glass sculptures by Makai Glass, Justin Daniel’s art gallery, exquisite jewelry by Maui Design Jewelry and clothing by Primitive Hawaiian Gyotaku.
Whitehead’s love affair with jewelry began at an early age, where a fervor for drawing chic jewelry soon ignited an interest in designing and crafting her own unique pieces.
She said she understands the need to get the perfect gemstone for the perfect occasion, as well as being sensitive to the taste, style and budget of her clients.
Naturally creative yet thoroughly detail-oriented, her favorite designs include The Modern Minimalist, The Bohemian, The Cool Eccentric, The “Glamazon,” The Trend Setter, and The Earthy Sophisticate styles.
Whitehead is an expert at combining her flair for artistic design, the jewelry creation and clients’ vision and taste to produce stunningly beautiful, unique pieces that will light up the room.
She has operated Maui’s Finest Craft Fair since 2007. Maui’s only oceanfront craft fair features Maui- and Hawaii-made products and unique gifts for all ages.
The fair is now located at three West Maui hotels: Fridays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas’ ocean lawn, Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club, and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hyatt Residence Club Maui.
