Kahana Canoe Club awards scholarships
LAHAINA – In September, Kahana Canoe Club awarded $1,500 scholarships to three students: Ciara Kahahane, Kylie Salvador and Zachery Luis.
Kahahane, a 2012 Kamehameha Schools Maui graduate and 2016 University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate, is now in her second year at the William S. Richardson School of Law. She is currently second in her class.
Salvador, a 2016 Lahainaluna High School graduate who is now in her sophomore year at the University of Hawaii Maui College, is majoring in Applied Business and Information Technology.
Luis, a 2017 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Maui, is now attending Willamette University majoring in Engineering and Physics.
Scholarships are funded through donations and the Visitor Industry Charity Walk. Since 2008, Kahana Canoe Club has granted $28,000 in scholarships to 12 students.
