LAHAINA – The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa recently announced the appointment of Klara Crocco as its new director of marketing and communications.

Crocco brings robust experience in public relations and marketing following tenures in both the hospitality and consumer product industries.

Prior to joining Hyatt Regency Maui, Crocco most recently served as the complex director of public relations at The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas and The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas in Kaanapali.

“I’m thrilled to join the team at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa,” said Crocco.

“I’ve been fortunate to grow my career in Maui, and I look forward to playing a key role with the sales and marketing team in representing this award-winning resort destination worldwide.”

Crocco began her marketing career with various positions in New York, including working for Kiehl’s and L’Oral, where she climbed the ranks to manager of corporate communications.

Crocco moved to Oahu in 2014, where she worked at Bennet Group Strategic Communications before moving to Maui in 2015.

At Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, Crocco will be responsible for overseeing the marketing and public relations for 806 guestrooms and suites, ten food and beverage outlets, one of Maui’s top luaus, a top-rated rooftop stargazing program and onsite wildlife (including seven African Black-Footed penguins on the endangered species list), among other onsite programming.

Crocco is originally from Connecticut and graduated from New York University and the University of Connecticut.
