LAHAINA – The West Maui Community Association will hold an informational meeting on the State of Hawaii Employees Retirement System’s (ERS) Kaanapali Golf Courses proposed project on Monday, Nov. 6, from 6:45 to 8 p.m. at Lahaina Intermediate School, 871 Lahainaluna Road.

Mike Munekiyo of Munekiyo Hiraga, a consultant for the project, and Ted Lennon of Lowe Enterprises, project manager, will share information on the ERS project’s Environmental Impact Statement process, the anticipated timeline and how the public can provide feedback.

The ERS, which provides retirement, disability, survivor and other benefits to more than 120,000 members, is proposing modifications to portions of its 305-acre Kaanapali Golf Course properties in West Maui. The improvements being discussed include renovations to the resort’s golf courses and the addition of a mixture of residential and commercial features.

The West Maui Community Association is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of West Maui and ensuring that the community’s interests are protected by adequate representation.
