LahainaTown Action Committee interim executive director to speak
LAHAINA – The interim executive director at LahainaTown Action Committee, Katarina Tualemoso, will speak on “Promoting Community and Economic Growth” at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 7 a.m. at the Pioneer Inn. The public is invited to attend, and the $10 fee includes a hearty breakfast with menu choices.
Tualemoso studied hospitality management and graphic design at California Polytechnic State University and moved to Maui from California in 1991. Her career has been in the hospitality industry and most recently at the Westin Kaanapali Beach Resort and Spa. She continued her career in hospitality at several Maui restaurants and started her own company called Fresh Concepts Maui.
She currently dedicates some of her free time to Maui Music Mission and loves painting and stand up paddling. Additionally, she advocates for the sustainability of our community’s cultural, environmental and economic wellness.
Lahaina is home to three Rotary Clubs. Pioneer Inn hosts weekly Rotary meetings at 7 a.m. on Tuesdays, Royal Lahaina Resort hosts meetings at noon on Thursdays, as well as the first, third and fifth Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Visitors and community members are always welcome.
