KAANAPALI – On Saturday, Oct. 14, from noon to 4 p.m., beer fans are invited to Pailolo Bar & Grill, the oceanfront sports bar at The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, for the restaurant’s inaugural Oktoberfest.

The celebration, which will take place in front of the restaurant on the resort’s Ocean Lawn, will feature classic German-inspired favorites, as well as locally crafted beverages from Maui’s own Kohola Brewery, Maui Brewing Company and Pau Maui Vodka. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pacific Cancer Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness.

Admission to the event includes a 22-ounce Pailolo stein, two beers and one food item. The Oktoberfest menu features Pork Schnitzel Sliders with pork loin fried in duck fat, English cucumber, house-made mustard, Kula greens and fresh lemon; Sauerbraten and Spatzle with braised, pickled beef short rib, garlic herb spatzle and salted cabbage; and a Mustard Bar with varieties such as whole grain, sweet and spicy, papaya, beer and horseradish. Entertainment will be provided by Deejay Tony Mills.

Tickets are $30 per person when purchased in advance and $35 per person at the door. Additional food and beverage tickets can be purchased at Oktoberfest. This is a 21 years and older event. For more information, visit honoluluboxoffice.com.

In addition to Oktoberfest, Pailolo Bar & Grill, home of Maui’s first hotel-owned-and-operated food truck, and winner of “Best Bar” (Silver) and “Best Burger” (Silver) in Maui No Ka ‘Oi Magazine’s 2016 ‘Aipono Awards, will serve the Pink Hibiscus, a Pau Maui Vodka cocktail, all October with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Pacific Cancer Foundation.
