Sanoe Ka‘aihue named executive director of Women Helping Women Maui

WAILUKU – The Women Helping Women Maui Board of Directors announced that Sanoe Ka’aihue has been selected as the agency’s new executive director.
She began her career at WHW in 2013 as a temporary restraining order advocate. Ka’aihue became its deputy director in 2015, and in March of this year, she accepted the position of acting executive director.
Ka’aihue has managed both the Maui and Lanai shelters, provided community education at public events about domestic violence, conducted domestic violence training for new recruits of the Maui Police Department, and has taken on an active role with the Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Board President Dawn DeRego stated, “We are very pleased with our choice and to be able to hire from within the agency for this position.”
