LAHAINA – The Outlets of Maui, the 147,000-square- foot, oceanfront center located in Lahaina on Front Street, will host a Back to School Expo on Friday, Aug, 18, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Courtesy of Skechers, the first 100 kids registering for the event at the center’s main stage will receive a free drawstring backpack with a pencil and a headband. Additional Back to School Expo events and entertainment will include a Children’s Zumba Class at Keoni’s Hot Lava Dancefit from 2 to 3 p.m., Healthy Zero Waste Lunch Box Demonstration by Beast & Spoon and Chef Seville from Ruth’s Chris Steak House from 4 to 5 p.m., Keiki Ukulele Show from 5 to 5:45 p.m., and Terrific Teacher Grand Prize Announcement (must be present to win) at 6 p.m.

Ongoing activities from 2 to 6 p.m. include the Back to School Supply Drive by Wishing Well (bring $10 of supplies and receive free parking), information on the Lahaina Complex Tutor Project, the Read Aloud America Interactive Children’s Booth by the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset, and Drunk Goggles Demonstration by Maui Police Department.
