Rick Nava to speak at Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting

The owner of MSI Maui, Nava is the current president of the Rotary Club of Lahaina and the West Maui Taxpayers Association; and treasurer of the Maui Chamber of Commerce, Bahay Kubo Heritage Foundation and United Filipino Council of Hawaii.
LAHAINA – On Tuesday, Aug. 15, the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset invites the public to a talk by Rick Nava, who will discuss a clean water project at St. Elena School in the Philippines.
The owner of MSI Maui, Nava is the current president of the Rotary Club of Lahaina and the West Maui Taxpayers Association; and treasurer of the Maui Chamber of Commerce, Bahay Kubo Heritage Foundation and United Filipino Council of Hawaii.
A graduate of Lahainaluna High School, he served 29 years in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserve.
His presentation will be about his visit to Tacloban City, Leyte, in the Philippines in February 2017 to turn over two competed clean water projects that both Lahaina clubs help fund. The systems are providing clean water to 3,000-plus people.
The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s community speaker series takes place during club meetings, which are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Ocean Terrace Restaurant, Royal Lahaina Resort, Kaanapali, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
