Rotary district governor to visit Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset
LAHAINA – Nalani Flinn, district governor of the 51 Rotary Clubs in District 5000 (State of Hawaii), will make a visit to the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
Flinn is a retired credit union executive who renewed her commitment to service above self when she joined the Rotary Club of Waianae Coast in 1996.
Since then, she has served two terms as president of that club (1999 and 2003) and served as assistant district governor from 2004-09.
Flinn will meet with the Lahaina Sunset Board of Directors at 3:30 p.m. During this time, she will hear from the board members their plans for projects and activities for the 2017-18 Rotary year.
A social will begin at 5 p.m. in the Ocean Terrace Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort, and the meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Flinn will address the attendees and share the district governor’s annual message. She will also make a special presentation to eight club members for their contributions to the Rotary International Paul Harris Foundation.
Other “surprise” recognitions are planned for this special meeting with District Governor Flinn. The public is invited to attend.
The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset is one of ten Rotary Clubs located on Maui and Lanai. Rotary is a leadership organization made up of local business, professional and civic leaders.
Club members meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships and get things done in the community.
